PURPOSE: An integrated circuit(IC) socket is provided to precisely settle an IC in contacts inserted to a plurality of insertion grooves formed in one side beam and the other side beam which are disposed in both side rows of a body part of the IC socket, by installing guide surfaces in a cover and the body part of the IC socket. CONSTITUTION: An integrated circuit(IC) socket has one side beam(11)/the other side beam(12), a lower surface beam(13), a body part(10) and a cover(20). The body part includes a protrusion part. The protrusion part is formed by cutting the body part by the height of a guide surface protruded inward, corresponding to a guide surface of the cover, so that the IC is guided to a plurality of contacts(30a,30b) inserted to insertion grooves(11a,12a) of the one side beam and the other side beam while being not caught. The cover is protruded inward by the length of a transverse direction of the IC to make the IC settled precisely, having a guide surface with a predetermined angle of inclination.
