PURPOSE:To provide a coating type ink-jet recording sheet, in which image density is increased, strike-through and a cockling are reduced and the bleeding of a color-overlapping section is diminished, and provide a manufacturing method therefor. CONSTITUTION:An ink-jet recording sheet, in which the cross section of a support composed of wood pulp and a pigment as main components is divided into two equal parts, a pigment area ratio S1/S2 contained on each surface side is kept within a range of 25/75 to 45/55 and at least one layer or more of ink accepting layers are formed on the support surface side of S2, and the manufacture of the ink-jet recording sheet, in which the ink accepting layer is coated with a roll coater or a rod coater, are provided. |
