PURPOSE: A method for aging test of vehicle catalyst is provided to detect a variation of vehicle catalyst within a short time period and to reduce a testing cost by shortening the aging test time. CONSTITUTION: A timer repeatedly generates A signals and B signals for a predetermined time. When the A signals are generated, an ECU operates a shutting valve(6) and transfers the A signals to an air/fuel ratio control device. Then, the shutting valve opens a secondary air line(16) according to the signal of the ECU, and the air/fuel ratio control device controls an air/fuel ratio supplied into an engine(20). When the B signals are generated, the ECU stops the operation of the shutting valve(6), thereby closing the secondary air line(16) and operating the air/fuel ratio control device so as to control the air/fuel ratio supplied into the engine(20). Exhaust gas of the engine(20) is supplied into a catalyst converter so that a temperature of catalyst is increased. |
