The exhaust gas installation for a road vehicle has an outlet (12) with at least one silencer (20) and/or catalyzer, which has a housing (26) with a covering (26a) having a material thickness of at most 1 mm and housing ends. The exhaust has metallic pipes rigidly connected to it, of which at least one has a material thickness of at most 1 mm. For holding the exhaust system on the vehicle body, a holding component (141) is connected to a pipe (19) connecting to the housing end. This pipe has a material thickness of at most 1 mm and is enclosed by a casing-shaped reinforcement component (150). The holding component is fixed to the pipe by welding, hard soldering or adhesion. An Independent claim is also included for a vehicle with the above exhaust gas installation.
