The shopping trolley has a device (1) for accepting a card (7) with a storage medium, e.g. a magnetic strip (8) and/or a microelectronic chip (9) and both a reader (10) of all data stored on the card and a laser reader (6) for graphical, especially bar code, information. Data read by the readers are transmitted (11) to a shop computer and information output by the computer (12) are read on a display (14) on the trolley via a receiver (13).
