Filtering device comprises a filter housing (12) containing a filter element (34). The filter element comprises a first and a second partial filter element (40, 42). The first partial element has a higher filter fineness than the second partial filter element. Both filter elements can be inserted into the housing through a common opening. Hydraulic fluid can be introduced via a separate feed (20) in the housing. Filtered fluid can be removed via a run-off (22) in the housing. Independent claims are also included for; (1) A filter element used in the filtering device; and (2) A hydraulic switch with a supply for hydraulic fluid.
