METHOD FOR PRODUCING CELL-FUSION TYPE MORBILLIVIRUS MUTANT

It is found out that a mutation of an amino acid at a specific position of t he F protein of a morvillivirus induces a decrease in the cell-fusion ability. By introducing this mutation, a virus having a lowered cell-fusion activity can be constructed. Thus, an attenuated virus useful in vaccines can be easily obtained.
