An arrangement for homogenizing the parameters of a coolant before it enters the fission zone of a nuclear reactor, especially pressurized water reactors, when boric acid concentration or coolant temperatures vary e.g. under fault conditions, comprises a mixing chamber in which the coolant is mixed. The chamber is located outside the reactor, between the circulating pumps and the reactor inlet. A number of pipes lead from the chamber to the reactor.
