10-(Amino or fluoro)-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-2,6-methano-3-benzazocine derivatives (I) are new. The 10-(amino or fluoro)-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-2,6-methano-3-benzazocine derivatives of formula (I) (including racemates, enantiomers, diastereoisomers and diastereoisomer mixtures) and their addition salts, are new. R<1>, R<2> = H, 1-6C alkyl, 1-6C alkoxy, OH, F, Cl, or Br; R<3> = H, F, Cl, Br, CH3, C2H5, OH, or OCH3; R<4>-R<6> = H, CH3, or C2H5; X = NH2, HN(1-6C alkyl), N(1-6C alkyl)2, NHCOH, NHCO(1-6C alkyl), or F; A = -(CH2)n-, -CH2-CH2-O-, -CH2-O-CH2-, -CH(-16C alkyl)-O-CH2-, -(CH2)2-O-CH2-, -(CH2)3-O-, -CH2-O-(CH2)3-, -(CH2)2-O-(CH2)2-, -(CH2)3-O-CH2-, -(CH2)4-O-, -CH2-O-CH2-CH2-O-, or a group of formula (i): asterisk = attachment point; n = 3-5; and Z' = methyl, ethyl or n-propyl. Independent claims are also included for: (1) 10-trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy-1,2,3,4,5,6-hexahydro-2,6-methano-3-benz azocine derivatives of formula (II); and (2) the preparation of compounds (I).
