A method for controlling a connection transfer in a wireless-communication system, in which each characteristic value ascertained by a subscriber station (UE) with regard to the transmission ratios during signal transmission in the downlink direction from at least two base stations (NBa,NBb,NBc) of the wireless communication system are summated in a given time interval (Tadd,Tdrop,Trep1). On the basis of the resultant sum, at least one base station (NBa,NBb,NBc) is selected to supply the subscriber station (UE). The characteristic values for determining the transmission power (Pue) required for signal transmission to the respective base station (NBa,NBb,NC) are used.
