A self-adhesive profile filler for thermal isolation of profiled sheets comprising foam bodies with a self-adhesive layer (24) on its apex surface, which is coated with a detachment foil (25), made from a tear resistant plastics film is new. An Independent claim is included for applying a self-adhesive profiled filler to the underside of profiled sheet involving the steps: (1) a short piece of detachment foil (25) is removed from layer (24) and placed aside ; (2) the profile filler together with the free adhesive site of layer (24) is fixed to the underside of the profiled sheet, and the latter is placed on the profile filler; (3) the remaining detachment foil (25) is pulled out sideways between the underside of the profiled sheet and the apex surface of the profile filler, so that the self-adhesive layer is successively exposed and bonded to the underside of the profiled sheet.
