A processing head for the processing of free-form surfaces has: - a base plate (5) which can be connected to an interface of a tool machine; - a carrier (6) for a processing device (7); and - three struts (8) adjustable in length which are connected with end-side links (9,10) to the carrier and to the base plate. The carrier is connected in movable fashion with the base plate by a ball joint or a Cardan joint (11). The struts have computer-controlled actuators so that by program-controlled adjusting movements of the actuators, tilting movements of the carrier can be executed around the ball/Cardan joint.
