The subject of the invention is an element of equipment in the interior of a car which has a fragment of its surface covered with a covering layer. This element is made up of the body (1) which is made of a foamed plastic. Inside the body there is a framework (2) on which a flexible auxiliary element (3) rests. This element contacts superficially the internal side of the covering layer (4).
