The seat has a horizontal bearing (11) oriented in the direction in which the driver is facing and pivotally supporting a frame with the actual seat mounted in it. The bearing is located above the anticipated center of gravity for the combination of the driver and seat, so that the seat stays level when the vehicle rolls side to side. The seat is suspended from the frame via essentially vertical swing arms (4, 5) with their top ends closer together than their bottom ends, enabling it to slide and/or pivot in the vehicle length direction to compensate for any change in vehicle pitch. |
