The false twisting texturing process, for a thermoplastic filament yarn (1), is carried out in the texturing zone (2), by means of a heating zone (3), a cooling zone (4) and a twisting device (5). The yarn is rendered plastically deformable during the pass thereof through the heating zone (3) and is simultaneously given a genuine twist (7). In the following cooling zone (4), the yarn (1) is recooled in the twisted form. After the pass through the twisting unit (5), the above twist in the yarn structure is lost and remains merely as an internal tension in the textured yarn (6). The cooling of the yarn is achieved by means of the addition of a cooling fluid (8), which is measured out by a regulated dosing pump (11), in such a way that a non-vaporised portion (10) thereof reaches the twisting unit (5), where it assists the transfer of the twist. |
