The outer body part consists of a main base (3) with at least partial, slightly elastically deformable foam layer (2), backing directly on the outer decorative/lacquer foil (1). The foam is applied to the back of the foil in a foaming tool. The base is a pre-fabricated metal part or a plastic part formed by application of foam to the foil. The foam layer may be of varying thickness, and there is a transitional section between base and foam layer, to form a positive connection. Foam layer and outer foil are formed like a sealing lip.
