The tea bag consists of a strip of material bent back on itself to form two sections (7, 8) of different lengths, the sides then being fastened together. An opening (10) is left at the top of the short section through which tea can be inserted into the bag. A reinforcing strip (11) at the lip of the opening is formed by folding the short section back a second time.
