The piston is part of a piston-gudgeon pin-connecting rod module, and consists pref. of aluminum alloy. The rod has a large and small rod eyes, as bearings for gudgeon pin resp. crankshaft. At least one of the bearings is roughened by Laser beams at points of max. load. The roughened bearing is a hub bore of the piston, or the large or small connecting rod eye. At least the zenith of the bearing is roughened to an angle of plus/minus 10 by the Laser beams.
