<p>A biochip reader reading a biochip with a higher sensitivity than that of a method employing fluorescence and having an inexpensive arrangement. The biochip reader comprises an X-Y stage (3) on which a biochip (6) is mounted to scan it two-dimensionally, a controller (4) therefor, a magnetic sensor (1) for measuring the strength of a magnetic field, a resistance meter (2), and a computer (5) for signal processing. Thus a high performance inexpensive biochip reader comprising a magnetic sensor and a disc drive mechanism commonly employed in a hard disc drive without requiring any expensive laser or optical system is provided.</p> |
