A polymer matrix (38) is made by casting. Prefabricated studs or pegs are introduced during casting, into the setting material (38). Preferred features: The polymer matrix (38) is produced on a cylinder (16), where the studs or pegs (projections) are introduced. At the same time a reinforcement is added with longitudinal and circumferential fibers. The projections are initially fastened to a conveying band (34), both being introduced into the setting matrix. The matrix is produced on a cylinder and the conveying band is wound up with it during the casting process. The conveying band with the projections is mechanically-interlocked or chemical cross linking is induced by a bonding agent, to achieve anchoring into the polymer matrix. The conveying band is a fabric or fleece material. The carrier band used, is provided with peripheral fibers at the same time. The projections are introduced in an outer layer of the setting polymer. During embedding they are given an additional over-casting of polymer.
