The invention relates to a self-closing door provided with a self-closing hinge mechanism, the hinge axis of which is inclined with respect to the vertical. As seen in the closed state of the hinge mechanism, the hinge axis runs substantially parallel to the plane defined by the door, and the hinge axis, as seen from the bottom upwards, slopes towards the door.
