Novel G protein-coupled receptor genes, which are expressed specifically in paraphysis, are successfully isolated by the differential display of rat brain. Novel G protein-coupled receptors, genes thereof and production and use of the same. These genes and proteins which are the translation products thereof are usable in screening ligands and screening agonists and antagonists which are useful as drugs.
