A system and method are disclosed for creating reality-based computer animation without requiring the user to directly manipulate the fundamental constructs of the underlying graphical model. A graphics creation engine is configured to receive from a user a selected entity for representation. The graphics creation engine is further configured to interact with a library of objects to present modifiable entity attributes and associated allowable values from an object to the user, and to receive user selections based thereon. The object is capable of identifying appropriate data subsets, which contain fundamental constructs required to produce graphics models, animations, and renderings of the selected entity attributes. The object is further configured with processing code capable of generating instructions to utilize the data subsets according to the user selections, thereby creating the entity representation. |
