The building production support system of this invention inputs information on elements that are the smallest units to compose a design target object, detail libraries that are generated by defining multi-layered element complexes that consist of combinations of elements and planning figures, and provides a total design piece generation means that selects elements or element complexes from said detail libraries to relate them to figure pieces, and a detail design piece generation means that outputs various kinds of figure information based on said total design pieces, at each stage of design according to requests. Recursive iteration of design and correction can be easily done and various kinds of drawings can be obtained at each stage of design on request.
