The seat suspension for a motor vehicle has two links (5,7) extending between the vehicle floor and the seat (1) to form a parallelogram linkage. Springs return the seat upwardly. An elastomeric bush (13) is mounted co-axially to the pivot of one link and can be locked in one of several positions. The bush can be locked by an arm (23) and ratchet (27) assembly. The ratchet can be controlled by a torsion bar spring. |
