The invention relates to a process for improving the cold flow technology of steel plates by deep drawing, by reducing the number of brokes due to the cracking, said brokes being caused by the texturization of the material. The process consists in dexturizing the steel by thermal treatment, and comprises at least three deviations from the thermal hysteresis of the thermal treatment point A3, followed by an annealing over the recrystallization threshold and by a relatively quick cooling in order to avoid the aging of the steel. The degree of the detexturization is defined on the basis of the measurements made by the device which magnetically measures the texturization and afterwards a series of original formulae is presented, said series linking the steel characteristics ( chemical composition, inclusions, grain-size number ) to the thermal treatment cycle ( number of deviation), and finally determining the reduction of brokes. A criterion for the minimum degree of the detexturization for medium, deep and very deep drawing is also set forth.
