The steering system includes a motor (10) controlling an hydraulic pump (9) which supplies fluid to an assisted steering valve (4). The whole supply of fluid through the pump electro-hydraulic (8) is so controlled by the motor, which itself is under the control of a calculator controlling the steering assistance variation at the same time.
