There are described new compounds of formula (I) wherein, when n is 0, at least one of the two phenyl rings is substituted; R1 and R2 are each independently of the other hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, C1-4alkyl, C1-4haloalkyl, C1-4alkoxy, C1-4 haloalkoxy or benzyl; A is oxygen, sulfur or -N(R6)-, wherein R6 is C1-4alkyl, phenylthio or tolylthio; B is -C(O)-, -O-C(O)- or -C(N-R6)-, wherein n is 0 or 1 and R6 is hydrogen of C1-4alkyl; p is an integer from 1 to 10; R3, R4 and R5 are each independently of the others hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, C1-4alkyl, C1-4haloalkyl, C1-4alkoxy or C1-4haloalkoxy; or R3 and R4 are adjacent to one another and together with the phenyl ring to which they are bonded form a naphthyl group; m is 0, 1, 2 or 3; and Z is C1-6 alkyl, phenyl or halogen; in free form or in the form of physiologically tolerable salts. Also described is the preparation of those substances and their use in controlling ectoparasites on domestic animals, productive livestock and pets, as well as ectoparasiticidal compositions for use on such animals. |
