A process for the production of an aryl sulfamide having the formula <EMI ID=1.1 HE=29 WI=50 LX=850 LY=786 TI=CF> <PC>in which R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> are each hydrogen, alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl, provided that at least one of R<SP>1</SP>, R<SP>2</SP> and R<SP>3</SP> is aryl,<BR> which comprises reacting a compound of the formula <EMI ID=1.2 HE=43 WI=66 LX=779 LY=1819 TI=CF> <PC>where R<SP>4</SP>, R<SP>5</SP>, R<SP>6</SP>, R<SP>7</SP>, R<SP>8</SP> and R<SP>9</SP> are each hydrogen, alkyl or aryl, and n is 0 or 1, with an amine of the formula R<SP>2</SP>R<SP>3</SP>NH (III), in the presence of a strong base. Certain intermediate compounds of above formula are also claimed. |
