PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the detection capacity of the consumption of a liquid utilizing a piezoelectric element. SOLUTION: Piezoelectric elements 160, 164, 166 perform the conversion between electric energy and vibration energy and output detection signals corresponding to the consumption of a liquid. The piezoelectric elements are formed on a base member 178 to which an opening cavity 162 is provided. The opening cavity is opposed to the piezoelectric elements and turned toward the interior of a container to communicate with the container.
