PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To devise the structure of a coated optical fiber ribbon, in such a manner that the deviation in the pitch between optical fibers by the thermal shrinkage of a coating is improved, that the coating is reinforced between the optical fibers and that the leading work of the optical fibers is facilitated. SOLUTION: This coated optical fiber ribbon is formed by longitudinally interposing a belt-like spacer S made of plastic between the optical fibers (f) of the coated optical fiber ribbon T, bringing the optical fibers (f) into abutment on both side ends of the belt-like spacer S and coating the optical fibers in this state with UV resin.
