PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a fine hair-having fabric-like fabric whose surface is covered with fine fibrillated fibers and which has extremely small fuzz sizes in comparison with suede-like fabrics and peach skin-like commodities, has a delicate surface touch, and can be used for the uses of dense, tense and stiff clothes such as coats or jackets. SOLUTION: This dense fibrillated fabric having a fine hair-having fabric-like touch is obtained by making a dense fabric from the composite yarns of fibril- forming fibers with highly shrinkable polyester fibers, arranging the fibril- forming fibers on the surface of the fabric and then chemically or physically treating the fabric to mainly fibrillate the surface of the fabric. The polyester fibers arranged in the core resist to the fibrillation treatment and enable the production of the fabric also excellent in a wearing strength due to the strength of the polyester fibers themselves.
