PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of easily inspecting a driving device regardless of a stopping position of a car. SOLUTION: A machine room 11 is formed under a landing elevator hall 1Fl of the lowest floor, a driving device 7 is installed in this machine room 11, and an entrance 14 for entering the machine room 11 is arranged in the landing elevator hall of the lowest floor.
