PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information system capable of immediately dealing to question regarding commodities, etc., which are asked by customers visiting a store or the like. SOLUTION: A sales clerk P1 carries a portable terminal 1, capable of transmitting/receiving information to/from radio stations 2A to 2D arranged in respective selling areas of a store, the information of a commodity displayed on a sealing area 2A, e.g. can be received automatically from the radio station 2A and radio tags are attached to respective commodities. When an ID value transmitted from each radio tag is transmitted to a server 4 via the radio station 2A, the server 4 generates commodity information on the basis of the ID value, transmits the information to the portable terminal 1 via the radio station 2A and is capable of dealing immediately with an inquiry from a customer P2. The terminal 1 is provided with an operation means which can be operated with one-handed operation, such as inclined operation and an information display device suited to the operation means. |
