PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a disk from being driven by a standby power source for saving data on a cache memory, and for preventing the loss of the data when a power source breaks down. SOLUTION: At the time of receiving a report of detection of failure of a power source from a power source state detecting part 19, a failure restoring part 12 saves data on a cache memory 16 through an inter-controller IF part 15 and an optical fiber cable 30 to another disk controller 21 while a power is supplied by a standby power source 18. At the time of restarting the device after the failure of the power source is restored, the failure restoring part 12 restores the data saved to the disk controller 21 to the cache memory 16. |
