PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods for producing a titanium-containing hydroxide, a titanium-containing oxide hydroxide and a titanium-containing oxide, respectively, in which the titanium and one or more elements except the titanium are homogeneously dissolved/dispersed in a solid state each other, and to provide a battery which the titanium-containing effect can sufficiently be exhibited by using the titanium-containing oxide as an electrode material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the titanium-containing hydroxide or the titanium-containing oxide hydroxide, characterized by mixing a titanium compound solution with a solution containing one or more cation except the titanium and then using an alkali, and the method for producing the titanium- containing oxide, characterized by reacting the titanium-containing hydroxide or the titanium-containing oxide hydroxide alone produced by the above method or a mixture of the titanium-containing hydroxide or the titanium-containing oxide hydroxide with one or more other compounds. The battery characterized by using the above titanium-containing oxide as an electrode material. |
