PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly form partially hard points locally in a mattress incorporating coil springs without using plural types of coil springs. SOLUTION: A pair of cushion units 1 comprising a layered cushion part Ma is formed by combining a plurality of cushion constituents 2 formed of a plurality of coil springs 20 in parallel contained in tubes 22 of tissue. At least one of the pair of cushion units is provided with a concave part 10. Some of the plurality of cushion constituents 2 contain coil springs 20 in more compressed state in tubes 22 of tissue because of the concave part 10 for reducing their size of the longitudinal direction with respect to the rest of the cushion constituents 2. The cushion is provided with spacers 3 of a thickness corresponding to the space formed by the concave part 10.
