PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information service system which makes the ID of an originating terminal secret to the outside of a switching network, provides information at a request from a terminating terminal not restricted to a special number and charges the terminal, and prevents position information from being altered and data from illegally being reused. SOLUTION: The originating terminal holds the position information and sends it to a terminating terminal after one-time ciphering and the terminating terminal requests a position center to decipher the ciphered position information and obtains the deciphering result from the position center. The switching network in substitute for the position center charges the terminating terminal for the deciphering request to the position center.
