摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transverse electric field liquid crystal display device with which a liquid crystal panel is protected from static electricity, connection reliability is improved and display unevenness is prevented. SOLUTION: This transverse electric field liquid crystal panel 1 is formed by bonding a TFT side glass substrate 2 on a display surface side and a color filter side glass substrate 3 so as to have a projecting part 2a projecting to a horizontal direction from the color filter side glass substrate 3 on a back side and forming a transparent conductive film 4 for absorbing and propagating the static electricity on the TFT side glass substrate 2. The transparent conductive film 4 is extended and formed on the display surface of the projecting part 2a of the liquid crystal panel 1. This transparent conductive film 4 and the ground of a circuit board 7 are connected by a conductive cable 8 via an anisotropic conductive tape 11. The rear side of the projecting part 2a is a pressurized contact part 10 which is the juncture of a TCP 6 and the TFT side glass substrate.
