PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an interruption-free trace system for receiving trace information from one or a plurality of processors or another device. SOLUTION: This trace system 200 can be constituted by a user so as to be operated in various modes so that trace information can be flexibly stored or transmitted. The trace system is provided with a memory-mapped FIFO 202 capable of being accessed without affecting processor performance. In one embodiment, the trace system is provided with a trace buffer 227 for receiving the trace information at the inside clock speed of the processor 102. In another embodiment configuration, a message is transmitted to an outside system 106, and a compression protocol is applied prior to the storage of the message in the memory so that a trace message on-chip can be compressed. |
