<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drainage unit for air conditioner in which foreign sound is not generated by the air flowing reversely through a drain hose even under an environment where the indoor and outdoor atmospheric pressure are different. SOLUTION: Condensate flowing downward from a heat exchanger 6 is received by a drain pan 8 placed below the heat exchanger and discharged outdoors through a drain hose 10 coupled with a drain pipe 9 led out rearward from the lower drain outlet 8a of the drain pan. In such a drainage unit for air conditioner, a tube 11 is passed through the drain hose while facing one end against the drain pan and leading out the other end from the drain hose so that an air flow is generated reversely by the indoor and outdoor atmospheric pressure difference. Consequently, generation of foreign sound can be prevented even if an water pool is generated in the drain hose because no air flow through the water pool.</p> |
