PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a static gasket easy to handle or install and favorably used in a multiple stack having a minute seal gap. SOLUTION: The static gasket 100 includes a stopper 20 and a thin carrier 10 to support a seal member 60 of elastomer. The seal member 60 is formed by molding in adjacency to the stopper member 20. The stopper member 20 works as a compression restricting member to restrict the compression force to the seal member 60. Alternatively the seal member may be formed from a material different from the stopper member. Various substances can be considered as the material for the carrier.
