PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely and correctly adjust a prescribed input coupling of optical output emitted from a light-emitting device to an optical waveguide fiber in compliance with the wishes curing manufacturing, without increasing adjusting cost, manufacturing cost and expense cost, in an optical fiber transmission element and its assembling method. SOLUTION: Adjusting sleeves 3, 4 are provided with a bottom plate 3B having a central opening part 3C in one side of end surface, and a polarizing filter 5 covering the opening part 3C is fixed directly or indirectly to the bottom plate 3B.
