PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building for which effective heights are ensured for ceilings while being low-storied and spaces required for machine rooms or the like can be reduced. SOLUTION: A main frame is constructed of combination columns 1 each comprising two columns 1a erected side by side, cdombination girders 2 each comprisiing two girders 2a laid, being in parallel with each other, between the combination columns, and beams 3 each connecting the adjoining combination girders together. A space inside the combination girder is made to serve as a housing space 8 for equipments. An air-conditioning equipment is installed in the housing space and conditioned air is supplied to the upper stories through the floors of the upper stories.
