COMMAND SEQUENCER FOR CT IMAGING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a command sequencer for controlling the operation of an X-ray source and the data collecting system of a CT imaging system. SOLUTION: This command sequencer 52 stores a set of commands successively read for executing scanning in a FIFO memory 56. Each command includes a count field for instructing how long to keep the command to be active and various clock generation sources can be selected by another field, thereby the command can be repeated and the execution of the command can be suspended.
