PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multimedia data editing and reproduction system that can edit and reproduce multimedia data that are good for appreciation of other users and have entertainment performance with a small-scale reproduction device and by providing multimedia data desired by a user to high quality multimedia data electronically distributed. SOLUTION: This multimedia data editing and reproducing device 1010 receives music contents 1008 including music data and still picture data from a 1st input section 1001, receives still picture data desired by a user from a digital still camera 1009 from a 2nd input section 1002, users a data edit operation section 1003 to replace these still picture data and users a data recording section 1004 to record the resulting still picture data to a recording medium 1011.
