DISTANCE DETECTION METHOD, POSITION DETECTION METHOD AND DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate reflection of electromagnetic wave due to surrounding obstructions to detect a relative distance between communication stations as accurately as possible. SOLUTION: The device communicates by using a plurality of electromagnetic waves with different wavelengths between two communication stations to detect a propagation time of one way. Then, it decides a direct wave and reflected wave from this detected result and also, selects the electromagnetic wave with a wavelength capable of going straight without reflection from the obstructions between communication stations from this decision result. Further, it selects the electromagnetic wave having a wavelength with a best distance resolution from among the electromagnetic waves with a selected wavelength to detect a distance.
