BOTTLE MOUTH INSPECTION DEVICE AND ITS INSPECTION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a small chip or the like even with the fluctuation of brightness generated by the molding dispersion of a bottle mouth itself and the fluctuation of transmittance of a bottle. SOLUTION: An input image found by picking up the image of a bottle mouth is binarized to form a binarized image, and the inner periphery and outer periphery of the bottle mouth are respectively traced on the binarized image to find the maximum variation and outline length which are the maximum value of secondary difference between the inner periphery and outer periphery. When the maximum variation and outline length are all within a specified range, bottle mouth shape is judged to be normal. A plurality of threshold values for the formation of the binarized image are prepared, and when judged to be normal on the binarized image found with one of the threshold values, the bottle mouth shape is regarded as normal.
