PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening degree adjusting device for a pair of grips so modified as to easily adjust the opening degree for a pair of grips clamping package bags by driving a motor device. SOLUTION: When a feed screw 48 is rotated and driven by the motor device and a lifting and lowering shaft 40 is moved upward, an adjusting lever 31 is rocked to rotate an adjust ring 9 by a small angle in the closing side direction, and a second lever piece is moved inwardly by a third link with one end connected with the adjust ring to inwardly rotate a second lever to outwardly rotate first lever pieces 17 and 20 respectively and widen an interval L of clamping sections for clamping the side edge of a package bag on a pair of grips 15. When the feed screw is rotated and driven in the direction opposite to the above to move the rise and fall shaft downward, the adjusting ring is rotated by a small angle in the counterclockwise direction to rotate the second lever piece outward, and the first lever pieces are inwardly rotated respectively to narrow the interval of the clamping sections of a pair of grips.
