PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical signal distributor which has a simple circuit constitution and does not require any request signal that is transmitted from a receiving circuit to a transmitting circuit. SOLUTION: This optical signal distributor 20 consists of a transmitting circuit 22 and a receiving circuit 24 which is connected to the circuit 22 via a 1st optical fiber 23. The circuit 22 is also connected to the circuit 24 via a 2nd optical fiber 25. The circuit 24 includes an optical demultiplexer (D), plural receiver circuits (E) having the lasers which emits different wave lengths and an optical multiplexer (F) which outputs optical signals of different wave lengths as the multiplex optical signals. The circuit 22 includes a fiber amplifier (A) and an optical external modulator (B) which modulates the multiplex optical signals by means of the external electric signals (e.g. video signals). The multiplex optical signals are modulated en bloc by the modulator (B) and by means of the external electric signals, sent back to the circuit 24 via the optical fiber 23, demultiplexed into the optical signals of wavelengths W1-Wn by the demultiplexer (D) and then distributed to the receiver circuits which have the lasers that emit the beams of same wave lengths. |
